This was a war year and instead of holding a regular summer camp the men who were scheduled for this work were given jobs on war production work in the woods with the Crossett-Western Lumber Company at Wauna, Oregon. Certification of 12 weeks of war production work in this case was accepted in lieu of the regular summer camp program.
