Ashley Kittle joined the Tallgrass Prairie Center staff in February, 2015, to lead the Prairie on Farms Project. Ashley received her B.A. in Political Science with minors in Environmental Science and Community Sociology from Wartburg College.  She completed a Professional Science Masters in Ecosystem Management at the University of Northern Iowa. Most recently she led and managed the Dry Run Creek Watershed Improvement Project for the Black Hawk County Soil and Water Conservation District.  

Ashley brings critical experience working with urban and rural landowners on a wide variety of complex water quality projects, as well as public education and outreach. Ashley notes, “I am motivated by the opportunity to implement conservation practices that will improve soil health, water quality and increase pollinator habitat. I am looking forward to a new challenge, working with the TPC team, agricultural service providers and rural landowners on the installation of on-farm prairie restoration.”
