STRIPS Data on GitHub

In support of open access and our team's data management protocols, we are making STRIPS data published in the peer-review literature are publicly available through a STRIPS repository on GitHub. In some cases, supporting R packages are also available.

GitHub is a version control repository and internet hosting service. Anyone can create a user account and access public repositories.

Additional data will be added as we collect and analyze our data and publish our findings. Currently available data include:

  • Metadata associated with our STRIPS1 Neal Smith National Wildlife Refuge experimental site.
  • Crop yield data collected by the STRIPS team at our STRIPS1 Neal Smith National Wildlife Refuge experimental site.
  • Plant community data collected by Matt Liebman and colleagues at our STRIPS1 Neal Smith National Wildlife Refuge experimental site.
  • Insect community data collected by Matt O'Neal and colleagues at our STRIPS1 Neal Smith National Wildlife Refuge experimental site.
  • Bird community data collected by Lisa Schulte Moore and colleagues at our STRIPS1 Neal Smith National Wildlife Refuge experimental site.
  • Water quality data (flow, nitrogen, phosphorus, sediment) collected by Matt Helmers and colleagues at our STRIPS1 Neal Smith National Wildlife Refuge experimental site.
  • Water quality data (carbon) collected by Randy Kolka and colleagues at our STRIPS1 Neal Smith National Wildlife Refuge experimental site.
  • Neonicotinoid pesticide concentrations in water, soil, and plant tissue samples collected by the STRIPS team at our STRIPS1 Neal Smith National Wildlife Refuge experimental site and analyzed by USGS colleague Michelle Hladik.
  • Social survey data collected by J. Arbuckle and John Tyndall addressing Iowans' priorities for agricultural programs and policies.
