I am a graduate student seeking a M.S. in Wildlife Ecology. My research is looking at how migrating shorebirds and aquatic invertebrates respond to water drawdowns at Lake Red Rock, a reservoir in Iowa. Additionally, satellite tags will be utilized to determine how much time pectoral sandpipers spend at the reservoir.
While obtaining my B.S. at University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, my interest for aquatic birds grew through technician work for a waterfowl productivity survey. This survey used drones equipped with thermal cameras to conduct the surveys.
