I am an environmental scientist researching how agroecosystem management influences environmental quality. Soil and water make more than mud. My research focuses on how soil, water, and organisms interact to stabilize the climate, promote clean water, and produce healthy food for generations of people. In the classroom, I learn with students how to think critically about the functioning of ecosystems and our role in promoting ecosystem resilience.
