Sally is a masters student working with Dr. Peter Moore to investigate the impact large woody debris has on the morphology of streams in Iowa. She is fascinated by the physical earth and the processes which shape it. Sally attended Unity College in Unity, Maine where she completed her BS in Earth and Environmental Science and developed a strong interest in geomorphology. She is originally from Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, but her passion for the outdoors, learning, and adventure led her to live on Oahu, Hawaii and in Massachusetts. Sally was excited to join the NREM and ENSCI departments after graduating from Unity in December 2016 and has since then moved to Ames and begun her research!
In her free time, Sally likes to spend time with family, friends, and dogs. She also loves to cook, travel, eat good food, be outside, and read.
