- B.S., Biology, Rockhurst University, 2012
- M.S., Biomedical Science, Des Moines University, 2016
I earned my Master's degree in Biomedical Science with an emphasis on physiology and pharmacology from Des Moines University in 2016. My research interests include the neuronal connection between chronic pain and depression. My expertise includes using animal models and doing protein analysis.
In February 2016, I began working in the administration of graduate programs at Iowa State University's College of Veterinary Medicine for three years. Overlapping this time and the completion of my MS degree, I also worked at Des Moines Area Community College as an Adjunct Professor at the Urban & Southridge Campuses from Fall 2015 through Fall 2019. I was the instructor of record for Introduction to Biology, Anatomy & Physiology I, and Anatomy & Physiology II. Each semester, I taught 1-3 courses in the evening. In February 2019, my role at Iowa State University was promoted to the Graduate College where I began serving as the Postdoctoral Coordinator for the entire University, and I represented approximately 250 postdoctoral scholars for more than four and a half years.
In July 2023, I began a new, elevated role as the Project Manager for the CALS/LAS Web Team, where I coordinate and help manage over 600 websites.
