I am working with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sustainable River Program assessing the spring migration phenology of Shovelnose Sturgeon in three Mississippi River tributary systems. I have worked for the Illinois Natural History Survey at the Illinois River Biological Station where I have held roles as a Crew Lead monitoring fish communities for long-term datasets on the Illinois River as well as a Lab Coordinator for a long-term vital rates study. My work here at Iowa State will examine environmental flows, larval/egg drift surveys, and acoustic telemetry to better understand this ancient species movement and reproductive patterns.
