I am a current graduate student pursuing a M.S. in Wildlife Ecology at Iowa State University. My current research focuses on breeding bird usage of restored wetlands in Iowa's Prairie Pothole Region. Specifically, I am interested in how bird community composition at these sites have changed over the last 16 years in relation to changing vegetation characteristics as the restorations get older. I initially gained interest in studying birds during my time as an undergraduate at the University of Minnesota- Twin Cities, where I studied Wildlife Biology. Most of my professional work has been in avian research across Minnesota and Wisconsin with a specific interest in wetland birds.
