Salutations fellow naturalists! My name is Hunter Wells, a current master's student here in the department of NREM studying under Dr. Steve Dinsmore and co-advised by Dr. Rick Lanctot (USFWS). I am researching the temporal variation of egg size and morphological metrics of Arctic breeding shorebirds in northern Alaska to see how they may be adapting to climate variation.

Prior to my position here at Iowa State, I was a seasonal wildlife technician for two years after graduating from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Over the years, I have worked with a variety of wildlife species including the Loggerhead Sea Turtle, American Oystercatcher, Sandhill Crane, White-tailed Deer, and Black Rail.

Feel free to stop by my office or email me to talk all things ecology!
