Bina Thapa

Bina Thapa is a Ph.D student at Iowa State University. Her broad research interest is on application of satellite sensor data in forest ecology and management. Her Ph.D. research involves understanding spruce budworm dynamics and disturbance events in the Boarder Lakes Ecoregion by using Landsat TM 5 data. Before coming to Iowa, she achieved her master degree from Florida International University, FL. Her master thesis work in Florida involved the uses of Landsat images and LiDAR data to understand the chilling regime among sub-tropical mangrove forests.
