More Information
My work focuses on understanding how Dunlin move in relation to environmental factors while on their breeding grounds near Utqiagvik, AK using high-frequency GPS data. I am also interested in understanding how human researchers influence their study species or environments. Specifically, I applied GPS collars to Arctic Fox, the main predator of shorebird nests, in an effort to better understand how our long-term shorebird nest monitoring methods influence predator movements during the breeding season.
