The Spring 2018 issue of the Iowa Chapter of The Wildlife Society included a first-person account of their experiences on the Multiple Species Inventory and Monitoring (MSIM) program.  This project has been gathering data since 2006 on the diversity and abundance of fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds mammals and some invertebrates such as dragonflies, damselflies and crayfish.  The long-term monitoring of sites will provide valuable information for decision-makers about wildlife population responses to habitat changes.  http://www.iowadnr.gov/Conservation/Iowas-Wildlife/Wildlife-Status-Reports
