  • Graduate Assistant
I am an ecologist and a member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM) with a bachelors degree in Conservation Forestry and Products Technology from Makerere University, Uganda and a masters degree in Ecology and Environmental Management from Liverpool Hope University, Uk. Science is my hobby, and the best field that fits what I do is data science, particularly the application of spatial modelling techniques to improve understanding of spatial ecology and land-use dynamics or use of machine learning algorithms to solve complex landscape research problems. I intend to use science to contribute to the sustainable and effective management of natural resources.

More Information

I am specifically interested in landscape ecology to advance science in decision making through ecological modelling that is instrumental to bolster environmental sustainability. My research is hinged towards understanding how People in Ecosystem and Watershed Integration (PEWI) can be used to promote multi-functional ecosystem landscapes.

This is critical because the ecological landscape which supports the wealth and well being of man through various land uses is replete with complexity, uncertainty and overwhelming human demands. Thus, this necessitates a paradigm shift of how we make decisions relating to land use. My goal is to solve complexity related to making important decisions to land use management by the use of science and modelling.
