Brian Vincent Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is open to freshmen in Animal Ecology. Applicants must demonstrate high academic achievement, as evidenced by class ranking in the upper 5% or a high school grade point average of 3.5 or above on a 4.0 grading scale.Award: One, $500
Carlander-Vasey Scholarship
This scholarship is open to junior and senior Animal Ecology majors in the fisheries and aquatic sciences option. Preference shall go to students with a demonstrated interest in fisheries-related study. Selection is based on financial need as determined by the ISU Financial Aid Office. Scholarship is renewable.
Award: One, $500
J. N. "Ding" Darling, INHF Scholarship
This scholarship is open to all NREM students. Applicant must show exemplary conservation communication and scholarly achievement. Examples of your work in this area should be described in your application or included as supporting material.
Award: Four, Amount Variable
James & Patricia Dinsmore Scholarship
This scholarship is open to all Animal Ecology majors at the junior and senior level. Applicant must have a minimum cumulative G.P.A. of 3.0. Applicant must demonstrate interest in ornithology, as evidenced by relevant work experience, participation in research projects, membership in scientific organizations, or a similar activity. This scholarship is renewable.
Award: One, $500
Sherry Fisher Award
Awarded to the outstanding J. N. "Ding" Darling, INHF Scholarship applicant. Examples of your work in this area should be described in your application or included as supporting material.
Award: One, $1500
Iowa Chapter American Fisheries Society Scholarship
Open to juniors and seniors in the Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences or Aquaculture option within the Animal Ecology major. Applicant must be in good academic standing within the department and have completed at least one summer of field experience relevant to fisheries or aquaculture. Applicant must submit a 500 word essay describing the field experience.
Award: One, $500
Izaak Walton League, Phil Fox Chapter Scholarship
Applicant must be an outstanding student with financial need. The Phil Fox Chapter of the Izaak Walton League, Fort Dodge, Iowa, supports this scholarship. Preference is given to students from the Webster County area.
Award: One, $200
Dennis Healy Memorial Scholarship
Applicant must be an Iowa resident and demonstrate commitment to various forms of conservation such as; membership and/or participation with Youth Conservation Corps, Scouting, Izaack Walton League, the Fisheries and Wildlife Biology Club or Duck's Unlimited. Applicant must have a minimum cumulative G.P.A. of 2.5. This scholarship is to help finance the education of talented Iowa residents majoring in the Fisheries, Aquatic Sciences and Wildlife options. Preference will be given to students from Cedar Rapids, Iowa area. Selection is based on financial need.

M. Virginia Sharar Memorial Scholarship
Open to all students in the Wildlife and Ecology options within the Animal Ecology major. Applicant must be in good academic standing. This scholarship is renewable.

Chuck and Marguerite Tice Fisheries and Wildlife Scholarship
Applicant must be a sophomore, junior or senior enrolled in the NREM Department with an emphasis in the area of Fisheries and Aquatic Science or Wildlife Biology. Selection is based on financial need as determined by the ISU Financial Aid Office. Preference shall go to applicants who demonstrate high financial need. This scholarship is renewable.

Gary White Fisheries & Wildlife Biology Scholarship
Applicant must be a junior or senior who has documented interest in quantitative areas of Ecology or Fisheries or Wildlife Biology. Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 G.P.A. Preference will be given to students nominated by Iowa State faculty and who has documented interest in graduate school including applying to graduate school or having taken the GRE.
Award: One, $300
Whitetails Unlimited Scholarship
Applicant must be a junior or senior who intends a career in Wildlife Science. The selection committee will nominate the successful applicant, with final determination made by the National Whitetails Unlimited Office.

Dwight W. & Marguerite Bensend Forestry Scholarship
This scholarship is open to all full-time second semester sophomore Forestry majors who have declared, or intend to declare the Forest Products or Sustainable Materials Technology option and have attended Fall Camp. The scholarship shall be awarded annually to the recipient who has the highest cumulative grade point among qualified students. Applicant must have a minimum G.P.A. of 3.0.

Gene Brugère Scholarship in Forestry
This scholarship is open to all undergraduate Forestry majors. Applicant must be in good academic standing and have a minimum G.P.A. of 2.5.

J. Milton Cone Memorial Forestry Scholarship
This scholarship is open to Forestry Majors at the sophomore, junior and senior level. Selection is based on the scholarship, citizenship and the potential to succeed in his/her chosen profession.

This award is open to all Forestry majors.

Fred S. Hopkins Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is open to all Forestry majors who enroll and attend the Fall Forestry Camp. Applicant must have a minimum G.P.A of 2.75. This scholarship is to offset the cost of camp. Selection is based on financial need.

Evered Ihrig Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is open to all Forestry Undergraduate and Graduate Students. Preference will be given to students graduating from high schools in Johnson County, IA or those contiguous thereto, including: Benton, Cedar, Iowa, Louisa, Linn, Muscatine, and Washington Counties or persons having some degree of family relationship to the late Charles Leslie Ihrig or Wenona Ihrig. Selection is based on financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office at ISU.

JELD-WEN Foundation Scholarship in Forestry
This scholarship is open to all Forestry majors. Preference will be given to incoming freshmen and students from the following Iowa communities: Des Moines, Dubuque, and Grinnell. If no candidates from these communities can be identified, students from other locations in Iowa can be considered. Applicant must be enrolled full-time and in good academic standing. Selection is based on financial need.
Award: Two, $2,000
Warren J. Lischer Scholarship
This scholarship is open to Forestry majors who are residents of Iowa. Applicant must be a full-time student, have a minimum G.P.A. of 3.0, and demonstrate extracurricular achievement that emphasizes honor and service. Preference will be given to a student planning to participate in a university sponsored study abroad program during the scholarship year. Scholarship is renewable.

Andrew Mathias Forestry Club Student Involvement Award
Submit a one-page type written essay describing your involvement with the ISU Forestry Club activities and projects. Open to all Forestry majors at the sophomore, junior, and senior level, except graduating seniors. This scholarship is awarded to a Forestry student who has provided exceptional service to the Forestry Club in terms of student activities and projects. The primary emphasis is placed on involvement with the ISU Forestry Club. Selection is based on regular attendance of Forestry Club meetings and involvement in Forestry Club activities. Applicant must have a minimum cumulative G.P.A. of 2.50, completion of, or pending enrollment in, fall camp and cannot be graduating in the spring semester when the award is given.

Virgil Matlack Memorial Scholarship in Forestry
This scholarship is open to all undergraduate students with a declared major in Forestry. Applicants must have an acceptable G.P.A. Selection is based on financial need.

This scholarship is open to all full-time undergraduate students with a declared major in Forestry. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative G.P.A. of 2.5. Scholarship is renewable.

Gene C. Meyer Scholarship in Forestry
This scholarship is open to Forestry majors with an emphasis in Forest Products or Sustainable Materials Technology. Applicant shall be enrolled in, or have already successfully completed, courses in business, economics, or agricultural business when applying for the award. Applicant must have a minimum G.P.A of 2.5. Selection is based on academic achievement and financial need. This scholarship is renewable up to three academic years.

Kenneth D. Obye Scholarship
Nomination by Iowa State Forestry faculty member only. This scholarship is open to Forestry majors who have completed at least 30 semester credits, but no more than 60 semester credits at ISU including the Forestry Sophomore Fall Series of courses. Selection is based on cumulative G.P.A earned at ISU and demonstrated leadership in Forestry.

Pack Essay Fall Forestry Camp Scholarship
This scholarship is open to Forestry majors attending fall camp. Applicants must submit a 250 or fewer word essay (typed) describing a meaningful learning experience from camp. Applications are available after camp each year and awards are given during fall semester.Award: One or more, amount variable
Robert E. Proctor Scholarship
Open to sophomore, junior, and senior students in Forestry who are residents of Iowa. Recipients shall demonstrate a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0. Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated financial need as determined by the ISU Office of Student Financial Aid. This scholarship may be renewed.

This scholarship is open to all Forestry majors. Scholarship is renewable.

Chuck & Marguerite Tice Sophomore Scholarship in Forestry
This scholarship is open to sophomore level students (year when student attends forestry camp) in the Forestry curriculum who will attend the Fall 2007 Forestry Camp. Applicant must be in good academic standing and a U.S. Citizen.
Award: Two, $1,250
Christopher Twarok Memorial Forestry Camp Scholarship
Applicant must be in good academic standing. This is a one-time award and is based primarily on financial need, to help pay the cost of the Fall Forestry Camp. Applications are available after camp each year and awards are given during fall semester

Xi Sigma Pi - G.B. MacDonald Memorial Senior Leadership Award for Advanced Studies
The recipient of this award shall be a graduating Forestry senior who is a member of Xi Sigma Pi, who is continuing his/her formal education with graduate studies and who exhibits outstanding leadership potential.
