As a student in the Department of Natural Resource Ecology and Management (NREM), many exciting educational opportunities are available to you. Through comprehensive coursework and practical field experience you will acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to become a successful natural resource professional.
You can choose from two majors: Animal Ecology and Forestry, each with a variety of options. These options allow you to specialize in fisheries, urban forestry, interpretation, wood products, pre-veterinary or in a variety of other areas. You may also choose to minor in either Animal Ecology or Forestry.
The NREM Student Services Center staff are there to help you, so please call, email, or stop by to see them.
NREM is a very tight-knit department and a great environment where everyone belongs.Adam, B.S. Animal Ecology
