The laboratory is used by NREM faculty and graduate students for working with Spatial Analysis. It supports Arc/Info, ArcView3.3, Arc GIS 8.2 and MIPS GIS software on Pentium PCs. The laboratory has the facilities to digitize from images scanned with flatbed or slide scanners or from aerial videography. There is a 36-inch digitizing tablet which is connected to a PC that can be used with Arc/Info or ArcView3.
