I am a quantitative ecologist by training currently working as a biologist on Iowa's Multiple Species Inventory and Monitoring (MSIM) program. The MSIM program is administered in partnership with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources and is a statewide wildlife research program that focuses on documentation, monitoring, and conservation of Iowa's Species of Greatest Conservation Need (SGCN) across a variety of taxa including birds, mammals, herpetofauna, freshwater molluscs, fish, odonata, and lepidoptera. I thoroughly enjoy the taxonomic and ecological diversity the program covers and have especially strong interests in avian and freshwater mollusc ecology.

I am also an avid birder and enthusiastic amateur wildlife photographer that enjoys seeking out the hidden gems of wildlife diversity in Iowa.
