Admission Requirements for Graduate Students
To apply for graduate admission to the Department of Natural Resource Ecology and Management, please follow these application procedures.
New graduate students typically enter in fall semester, although students may begin degree work at other times as well. We accept applications at any time, but decisions on admissions are made during spring for summer and fall entry, and in late fall for spring entry.
Applicants are considered for admission upon recommendation by one of the departmental faculty, who agrees to serve as major professor. Therefore, we encourage applicants to contact our professors directly.
Admission is highly competitive; generally the minimum expectation for admission is an undergraduate GPA of at least 3.0 and GRE scores (V, Q, & A) above the 50th percentile. The TOEFL score for international students should be 550, or 210 for the computer-graded exam. Please read the following admission procedures carefully to avoid delays in the processing of your application.
