Research
Ryan is a Research Associate II and wildlife biologist in NREM, working directly with Dr. David Engle. He has previously worked in private lands wetland and habitat restoration for the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, and has research experience in bird use of restored wetland and grassland habitats in Iowa and South Dakota. Currently, he coordinates and oversees field operations for a multi-disciplinary team of researchers investigating the utilization of fire and grazing as sound management tools in grassland landscapes.
