Learner Outcomes Assessment Portfolio
Results of First Survey of Alumni
During the summer of 2004, the first alumni survey of the new NREM departmental outcomes was conducted. Sixty-two undergraduate alumni who graduated in 2001, and forty-four undergraduate alumni who graduated in 1998 were contacted and asked to return a survey on accomplishment of outcomes. Each alum was asked to rank how well they believed their education had prepared them to accomplish each of the ten outcomes. They were also asked to indicate how important each of the outcomes was in their current employment situation. A five-point scale was used to evaluate their preparedness:
- Very Poorly Prepared
- Moderately Poorly Prepared
- Average
- Moderately Well Prepared
- Very Well Prepared
A five point scale was also used to assess how important each outcome is to the successful performance of their current job.
- Not Important
- Moderately Unimportant
- Neutral
- Moderately Important
- Very Important
