Position Descriptions

At present, position descriptions for faculty and staff with teaching appointments are being rewritten to include the following statement:

Courses taught by (your name) that are required in any of the department’s options are expected to contribute to the accomplishment of one or more of the department’s Student Learning Outcomes. All courses taught by (your name) are expected to be guided by clearly state student learning outcomes that are made available to the students. On-going measurement of accomplishment of those outcomes is expected to form the basis for course revision and improvement.
