Greetings from Costa Rica!
Wow, time flies when you're in the tropics! I can hardly believe that its time for me to go home, it seems like I just got here. This has been one of the most amazing experiences of my life and there are a lot of people that made it all possible for me. I wanted to take the time in my last Web-log to thank everyone that made this such a memorable time for me.
Ann
First and foremost I need to thank Ann. I know you put in a lot of hard work to make this all possible for me and I really appreciate it. I also want to thank you for all the experience that I've gained from working for you in the lab. All the lessons and knowledge I've gained are invaluable. You always took the time to make sure that I understood the ideas and theories behind what I was doing, making it an ideal learning situation and I am very grateful. Thank you.
Jim
I really want to thank you Jim for couple of nature walks you took me on. I definitely saw things I probably wouldn't have seen on my own. Also, thanks for making the times I went to the plots with you a learning experience. I really appreciate every thing.
Ricardo
Ricardo I want to thank you for your great knowledge and sense of humor out in the field. I really learned a lot about the different tree species and experimental design while working with you. I also want to thank you and Patricia for your hospitality in allowing me to travel with you to San Carlos, Arenal and Fortuna. I really appreciate you showing me around; I had a really great time.
Oscar
Thanks a lot for being a great friend while I was down here. Also, thanks for helping me out with my Spanish and for translating in situations in which I had no idea what was being said. You also helped me a lot with species recognition, so thank you for passing so much knowledge on to me, I really appreciate it.
Bernal, Dennes, Róger
I spent a lot of time working with you guys both in the lab and in the field and you really made me feel welcome. You guys are the hardest working and most fun people I think I have ever worked with. I am always amazed at how you guys can find your way around the plots, as well as spot little creatures and insects that I never would have seen on my own. Thanks for all of your great skill and talent.
Anna
Anna, I need to thank you for working with me so hard the week before I came to Costa Rica. You took a lot of time to make sure I understood how to use Dreamweaver and how to design the website; I am very thankful. Also, thank you for uploading files for us this summer. None of the updates would have been possible without you, thank you very much.
I also want to thank everyone who checks out the website from time to time. As you can see there are a lot of people who put in a lot of hard work on the ECOS project and website, but it's all worth it when people are interested in what's going on.
Pura Vida,
Nathan
